Finding (many) values of functions

[Y=] then enter the formula into Y1
[GRAPH]
[2nd][CALC] [VALUE] now type the value you want and the f(x) will be displayed as y=___
-or-
[2nd][TBLSET] {Indpnt: ASK} [ENTER] now type the values you want to find f(x) for

zeros, minimums, maximums, intersections, derivatives, and integrals

[Y=] type graph(s)
[Graph]
[2nd][Calc] for zeros, minimums, maximums, intersections, derivatives, and integrals
type the lower limit[ENTER] type the upper limit[ENTER], [UP] and [DOWN] Switch equations if you have many
Play around with the [WINDOW] options to get used to zooming in/out appropriately

Adding Best Fit Lines (regression)

Make your plot or stat plot
[STAT][right arrow to CALC]
and pick the regression
For linear, pick [4]
For parabolics, [5]
cubics [6]
etc.
exponential growth/decay [0]
[enter]
write these numbers down and add the equation to the graph

for adding a best fit for ExpReg
[Y=]
128*.5^X
[Graph]

Making Tables (Lists) and Stat Plots

Clear the memory if you want to start fresh
TI-84+ Calculators store data in columns called LISTS
You can have many lists L1, L2, etc.

ENTERING DATA
Press [STAT][EDIT]
Use the arrow keys to move around
To delete an entry, press [DEL]
Type your entry, press [ENTER]

MAKING A PLOT
Press STATPLOT [2nd][Y=]
Turn on the plot you want, here's how to turn on Plot1
[enter][enter], and usually set the type to dots, xlist to L1
[2nd][1...6] for L1...L6
usually set the mark to hollow dots
now press [GRAPH]

SEEING THE PLOT
Hit [GRAPH] - can't see it?
[ZOOM][9] Zooms to statplot
